The one-day long Karwa Chauth is definitely one festival which is a lot precious when a woman is celebrating it for the first time after marriage. The importance of this festival adds more importance to this festival and it looks like even International star Priyanka Chopra must be feeling the same. Today, our Desi Girl who is in the US is celebrating her first Karva Chauth with Nick Jonas. However, the lady is not celebrating the festival just like any other woman. Confused? Well, Priyanka is actually celebrating her first at a Jonas Brother concert and not going through the proper rituals that are usually observed in this festival.

Just a while ago, the Bajirao Mastani actress shared an endearing photo of herself with Nick on her Instagram handle. In the photo, the actress is seen leaning on his shoulder while Nick is seen smiling. Her caption read that she is celebrating her first Karwa Chauth at Jonas Brother concert, she wrote, “Karwa chauth at a @jonasbrothers concert. Definitely a first I’ll always remember! @nickjonas #karwachauth.” Followed by a few photos on her Instagram story, where she is seen flaunting her Mehendi and red bangles. She also shared another photo with her friends, captioning, “Me and my friends #karvachauth2019.




A minute ago, Nick too shared some happiness-filled post on his handle where the gorgeous Priyanka is seen wearing a red saree pairing it with a heavily embellished blouse while Nick who got changed into traditional looked dapped in a beige sherwani, while goofily posing for the viral click, as we can see in the pictures. His caption read that Priyanka taught her about the festival and culture. He wrote, “My wife is Indian. She is Hindu, and she is incredible in every way. She has taught me so much about her culture and religion. I love and admire her so much, and as you can see we have fun together. Happy Karva Chauth to everyone!”




Talking more about Karwa Chauth, this festival is mainly celebrated in North India where married women fast for their respective husbands for longer and safer life. This festival is also observed amongst the non-married in India for having a prospective husband. The fast that is observed amongst married women is said to be a nirjala fast which means no water and food. After doing puja and offering prayers to the moon, the women break their fast after seeing the moon.
